Our Story

Connect Fitness was founded in 2018 with a simple yet powerful vision: to create a space where women over 50 can come together, build strength, improve their fitness, and find genuine support. What started as a small initiative in Rake has blossomed into a vibrant community, empowering women to reach their health and wellness goals.

Meet the Founder

My passion for holistic health, fitness, and wellness has always been at the core of who I am. With over a decade of experience as a Personal Trainer, HoloBody Coach, Mobility Specialist, Certified Online Trainer, and Intermittent Fasting Coach, I noticed a significant gap in the fitness industry—women over 50 were often overlooked by traditional gyms. I wanted to change that. I envisioned a space that wasn’t just about physical fitness but also about fostering a strong, supportive community of like-minded women who uplift each other.

Why We Started

Connect Fitness was born out of a desire to create a safe, welcoming space where women can exercise without the intimidation often felt in traditional gym environments. We recognised that many gyms didn’t prioritise the needs of women over 50, making it difficult for them to find a place that truly supports their health, fitness, and wellness goals. We wanted to change that by building a community that is exclusively for women, where everyone is supported on their unique journey. Our goal is to help women over 50 start the next chapter of their lives with energy, vigour, and confidence through our Connect Fitness classes and The F.A.T. Method.

What Sets Us Apart

At Connect Fitness, we’re more than just a gym—we’re a community dedicated to women over 50. Our women-only, community-focused programme is tailored to support your journey. Our unique approach includes classes that strengthen, tone, and help prevent injury and disease. Through The F.A.T. Method, we offer a unique fasting protocol that helps women lose 5-10kg in 8 weeks, without the need to count calories, points, or follow rigid meal plans.

We know that every woman’s journey is different, which is why we provide personalised coaching and support to ensure that each member feels valued and empowered.
